Giant Trick-shot Machine
Our Graduate class was given the opportunity to create a human-scale Rube Goldberg machine for The Harlem Globetrotters. The machine had to move a basketball up and down two stories, across a large shop space, and eventually shoot a basketball into a basket. We started out by developing a theme for the machine, which we called, "Anatomy of a Globetrotter".
Human Scale Hamster Wheel
I built the human-sized hamster wheel, which one of the Globetrotters used to power the machine. The hamster wheel was attached to a gondola lift that moved the ball from the ground to a wire ramp, over 11 feet off the ground. Major parts for the wheel were CNC’d, then put together.
