Design Criteria

  • Wireless X-Ray for handheld and tripod/stand applications.

  • Touchscreen and mechanical buttons UI.

  • Design a form and visual style that represents the OXOS brand.

  • Use in E.R. , physician’s offices, surgical environments, ambulances, and sporting events.

Redesigning the handle

Updating the handle to a vertical orientation reduces hand and wrist strain.. Research and rapid prototyping greatly informed this new design.

How does it make your patient feel at first glance?

This was the question on my mind throughout development. The visual language needs to be modern, cutting edge, yet reassuring for someone experiencing severe pain. This form uses smooth curves and rounded edges to help communicate calm healing.

Creating AI renderings from the sketches help to visualize basic CMF, lighting, and 3D forms before CAD modelling.
